Snowball Appliance accelerates moving large amounts of data into and out of our data centers using Amazon‐provided secure appliances for transport. Using Snowball Appliance addresses common challenges with large‐scale data transfers including high network costs, long transfer times, and security concerns. Transferring data with Snowball is simple, fast, secure, and can be up to 80% less expensive than high‐bandwidth Internet.

How It Works

- We will ship you the appliance
- Once the appliance arrives, download the client and select your data
- The client will encrypt and copy all your data to the Snowball Appliance
- Once completed, send us the drive and we will import the data to our data centers
