This Privacy Policy explains the practices and policies of G Cloud (“G Cloud”) regarding the collection and protection of Personal Data supplied by users or collected by us from users of G Cloud websites, including gcloudbackup.com, gcloudbackup.com, and the G Cloud and G Cloud backup services (the “Service”).
G Cloud defines “Personal Data” as any data from which it is practical to directly determine the identity of an individual. Any capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given in the Service’s License and Product Agreement (the “User Agreement”). This Privacy Policy may be updated by G Cloud from time to time. genie9 will provide notice of materially significant changes to the Privacy Policy by posting a notice on its websites.
By registering to use the Service, you agree (1) to comply with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and (2) G Cloud may process (i.e., collect, use, etc.) your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy or the User Agreement. Personal Data may be processed by genie9 in the country where it was collected as well as other countries (including the United States) where laws regarding processing of Personal Data may be less stringent.
Personal Data Once you register with G Cloud and sign in to the Service, you are not anonymous to G Cloud.
When registering with G Cloud, you provide Personal Data, which may include company name, industry, number of employees, phone number, your title, city, state, country, zip code, a username, and a confirmed email address. When backing data up with the Service, you send us that data and you also are sending file system information, including names of files and directories. genie9 may also record your IP address when you submit information.
G Cloud also may collect, at your option, certain preference and demographic information from you.
All information collected by G Cloud is used for internal purposes of providing the Service, providing support to users, and to improve services. Aggregating non-identifying information supplied by users allows genie9 to understand its user base and to improve services.
G Cloud. may also use your company name, logo, and feedback for marketing purposes. For example, G Cloud. may use information you provide to contact you to further discuss your interest in our products or services and to send you information regarding G Cloud. and its partners, such as information about promotions or events.
To protect your account information, please keep your password secure.
All Users may opt to remove their Personal Data from our live database by contacting G Cloud and canceling their G Cloud user account. Users of the genie9.com Services may also cancel their user account by logging into their account, selecting My Account, and clicking on Delete Account or request from the person who added that person to the account for removal.
G Cloud does not intentionally gather Personal Data about visitors who are under the age of 13.
We will not sell or market the email addresses or other collected personal information of registered Users to third parties.
We will not view the files that you backup, this includes, but is not limited to your call logs, contacts and SMS backed up from the apps. Data is stored in our data centers for your backup purposes only, and you only can view them when you restore.
We may view your file system information (file extensions, sizes, etc. but not your file contents) to provide technical support.
You acknowledge and agree that G Cloud may occasionally send you administrative communications regarding your account or the Service via email.
Collection and Usage of Contact Lists G Cloud products respect the privacy of its users and are committed to transparently disclosing the collection and usage of Personal Data, including contact lists, as part of our Service.
Collection When you use the app, you may be prompted to grant permission to access your contact list. If granted, we may collect and securely store this information on your device or on our servers to facilitate backup and restore operations.
Usage Your contact list information is used solely for the purpose of providing you with backup and restore services. We do not utilize this information for any other purposes, such as marketing or third-party sharing. Additionally, we do not access, view, or manipulate your contact list data for any reason other than to facilitate the backup and restore process initiated by you.
Data Security We employ industry-standard security measures to safeguard your contact list data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
User Consent By using the app, you consent to the collection and usage of your contact list information as described in this privacy policy. You have the right to deny access to your contact list, although this may limit the functionality of certain features within the application.
Cookies and Passive Data Collection G Cloud uses cookie, IP address, and URL information to improve and further develop the Service, and to provide enhanced or geographically differentiated features and service levels to Users, where available. G Cloud uses cookies to save User screen names, session validations, and on Users’ browsers and hard drives, and may use them to provide tailored products and services to those Users, as they become available.
IP Addresses also help us diagnose network congestion, problems with our servers, and otherwise assist in the administration and delivery of the Service to our Users.
Links to Third Party Sites G Cloud websites may contain links to other sites that are not under our control. These websites have their own policies regarding privacy. Legal Requirements G Cloud does not disclose Personal Data, including the data you back up with the Service, unless disclosure is necessary to comply with an enforceable government request such as a warrant.
Change of Ownership In the event of a change in ownership, or a direct merger or acquisition with another entity, we reserve the right to transfer all of G Cloud User information, including Personal Data, to a separate entity. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you (by posting on our website or an email to the email address you provide when you register) of any change in ownership, merger, or acquisition of G Cloud’s assets by a third party, and you may choose to modify any of your registration information at that time.
G Cloud uses industry standard security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Although we make good faith efforts to store the information collected by genie9 in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, genie9 cannot guarantee complete security. Further, while we take reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party “crackers” from obtaining this information.
You may, at any time, choose to correct or update the information you have submitted to G Cloud by updating your account on our website.
If you cancel your account, your Personal Data and other information may be retained in our archive or backup records.
Account Expiration and Deletion If your account expires, all your data will be permanently deleted. G Cloud holds no liability for data loss due to account expiration.
Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, G Cloud shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use or inability to use the service; (b) any unauthorized access to or use of our services or servers and/or any personal information stored therein; (c) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the services; (d) any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our services by any third party; (e) any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of your use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the services; and/or (f) the defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of any third party. In no event shall G Cloud’s aggregate liability for all claims related to the service exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (U.S. $100.00) or the amount you paid G Cloud, if any, in the past twelve months for the service.
If you have a dispute or complaint about privacy on a G Cloud website, we kindly ask that you attempt first to resolve the issue directly with genie9 by emailing support@genie9.com.
G Cloud reserves the right in our sole discretion to revise, amend, or modify this policy and our other policies and agreements at any time and in any manner. Notice of any revision, amendment, or modification of this policy will be posted on G Cloud websites, and a User’s continued use of the Service will signify agreement to such changes.

To benefit from this free service, operated with our push provider WonderPush https://www.wonderpush.com, you must first subscribe by clicking on an authorization request controlled by your browser and your device when you visit our website. The navigation data that we could store and process in order to operate this service and send you relevant messages is anonymized and kept on WonderPush servers for a maximum of 90 days and never shared with third parties.
