The plans
Three per-user plans, and Vault for big data.
BigMind Resilience is cloud backup and disaster recovery for small and mid-size businesses. One backup agent for Windows, macOS and Linux, and one web console. Storage is pooled for the whole company. Prices are BigMind’s list prices; partners set their own.
DR-Only
Block-level disaster recovery and the Ransomware Canary, with 200 GB a user. No file backup.
Standard
500 GB a user. Adds file backup with version history, backup of 22 cloud services such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox and S3, storage tiers, and recovery in the cloud.
Pro
1 TB a user. Adds WORM immutability, all app-consistent VSS writers, 2 servers per company and an eDiscovery option.
BigMind Vault
10, 25, 50 or 100 TB at one price, with users, servers and databases included. About 15% instant storage, the rest cold. Backs up files and servers; no disaster recovery.
Disaster recovery
Bring back the whole machine.
BigMind takes block-level images of each machine, with app-consistent VSS. When one fails, pick the way back.
Browse files
Open any image and pull out single files, straight away. On every plan.
Run it in the cloud
Instant Recovery and Cloud Desktop start the machine in the cloud in about 30 to 60 minutes. Standard and Pro.
Rebuild from USB
A bare-metal restore rebuilds a physical machine in about 2 to 3 hours, even on different hardware.
Catch ransomware while it runs.
Decoy files sit among the client’s files, and every backup checks them. If ransomware touches one, BigMind raises an alert and freezes the backups, so the last clean image is safe. It works from day one, with no learning period.
How the Canary works
- 1Decoy files are placed among the client’s files
- 2Every backup checks that they are untouched
- 3A change raises an alert and freezes the backups
- 4The last clean image is kept for recovery
Security
Encrypted, and locked when it must be.
AES-256 encryption
Every chunk is encrypted, in transit and at rest.
WORM on Pro
Write-once retention: backups nobody can quietly change or delete.
HIPAA-ready
Ready for clients who must meet HIPAA. We don’t claim a certificate. See the details.
