Encrypted before it touches disk
Every chunk is AES-256-GCM encrypted with a per-device key before it's written. A stolen NAS or USB drive yields ciphertext, not your files.
Survives the unplugged USB
Drive disconnects mid-backup? The agent pauses, probes every 30 seconds for up to 2 hours, and resumes the same backup from checkpoint when it's back. No corrupt images, no starting over.
Deduplicated + compressed
Content-aware dedup and zstd compression mean incrementals store only what actually changed — a year of recovery points fits in a fraction of the raw disk size.
