For veterinary clinics

X-rays for the owner. DICOM for the specialist.

Back up every X-ray with the clinic’s computers, find any patient in seconds, and send owners and referral specialists a link instead of a disc or a USB stick.

BigMind Medical is not a diagnostic device. It keeps, files and shares images for review; a clinician reads every image.

The Patients page: every patient with an X-ray thumbnail, found by name or ID
The owner's phone: the scan is ready, with View your scan and a note from the clinic

What it does

Three things a busy clinic gets back.

  • Happier ownersThey see the X-ray on their phone at home, with your note, instead of asking for a copy.
  • Faster referralsThe specialist opens the study before the appointment, or downloads the DICOM files.
  • Nothing lostThe X-ray PC and the practice server back up whole, with ransomware early warning.

FAQ

Questions from veterinary clinics

Will it work with our X-ray system?

If your X-ray or ultrasound system saves DICOM images to a computer, or can send them to a DICOM destination, it works: the BigMind agent backs up that folder, or the DICOM receiver that comes with the agent for Windows takes what the system sends. Each study is filed by patient.

Can owners see the X-rays at home?

Yes. Press Share on the study and the owner gets a link, or scans a QR code at the front desk. It opens on their phone, with a note from you if you write one.

How do we send images to a specialist?

Send the same kind of link. The specialist opens it with full viewing tools in a browser, or downloads the study as DICOM files for their own system.

Is this a PACS?

No. BigMind Medical keeps, files and shares your images and backs up the clinic’s computers. If you already use a PACS or your X-ray vendor’s software, keep using it.
