PRO · SAVED SEARCHES & INBOX
Searches that keep running after you stop looking.
Save a search and Sentinel checks every new detection against it as it arrives. A plate that turns up, a watchlist hit at a camera you care about, a vehicle after midnight — the results wait in your Inbox until someone acknowledges them.
Everything your standing watches found, in one place, until someone acts on it.
One button on the page you already use.
Look up a plate and press Tell me when this plate is read. Sentinel fills in the search you just ran, asks how you want to be told and — for a particular plate — why, and keeps it running from that moment.
- Works for a plate that has never been seen — the first read is the alert
- Optional hours and days, in the time zone shown when you save it
- The bell, your phone, or just the Inbox — your choice per search
- A reason code and reference before a plate or person is watched
From a one-off lookup to a standing watch, in one dialog.
What you can keep watching
Events, plates, faces and areas.
Every kind of saved search runs at the moment detections arrive — nothing is re-searched in the past.
Event searches
Save the Events page as it is: cameras or a camera group and event types — and, if you like, only between certain hours on certain days, in your own time zone.
Plate watches
“Tell me when this plate is read” works for a plate never seen before. Starts-with or a pattern like *1734 — matched exactly the way Plate Search matches, so a saved watch never disagrees with a search.
Face watches
“Watch for new sightings” of a person from your directory, at the match line in force when you saved it. New faces that look like them land in the Inbox — a lead for an operator to confirm, never an identification.
Searches inside an area
Limit any event search to an area drawn on the map, or to watchlist hits only — “watchlist hits inside the central zone” — using the same areas as geofence alerts.
See every search, what it found, and when it ends.
The Inbox keeps your saved searches beside your alerts: what each one looks for, how many results are new, and when a watch on a plate or person runs out. Edit, pause, renew or delete from the list.
- New results counted on each search, cleared when acknowledged
- Searches inside an area show the area by name
- Face watches show the match line they were saved with
- Administrators can switch to everyone’s searches for oversight
Every running search, with what it found and when it ends.
Every watch on the record, in one register.
Compliance lists every saved search and geofence in the organisation — on whom, why, until when and how many alerts each raised. Your administrator decides whether a reason is asked and how long a watch may run.
- Who set each watch, on what, with which reason and reference
- The end date of every watch on a plate or a person
- An organisation-wide switch for the reason, and the default and longest duration
- Changes to the switch are written to the tamper-evident audit trail
The register a reviewer asks for — already kept.
Governance
A watch you can defend afterwards.
Keeping a search running on a plate or a person is a heavier act than running it once, so the controls come with it.
A reason before watching a plate or a person
Watching a particular registration or person asks for a reason code and a reference — a case, warrant or authorisation number — before it starts. Searches over cameras or event types never ask.
Watches end on their own
A watch on a plate or a person lasts 30 days by default and at most what your administrator allows. Sentinel warns three days before it ends; renewing asks for the reason again.
One register of every watch
Compliance shows every saved search and geofence in the organisation: who set it, on what, why, until when, and how many alerts it raised. Administrators can delete someone else’s — and their view of everyone’s searches is audited too.
Privacy rules reach the watches
When a person is suppressed or erased, the watches on them stop finding them and their results go. A watch never becomes a way around the rules that govern the pages.
How it works
From a search to a standing watch.
Search
Filter Events, look up a plate, or pick a person in Face Search — exactly as you do today.
Keep it running
Press Save this search, Tell me when this plate is read, or Watch for new sightings. Name it, choose hours and days, and how you want to be told.
Get told
Each new match is checked the moment detections arrive. Results gather under one Inbox item whose count rises, with the bell and, if you chose, your phone.
Act and account
Open the sighting, acknowledge or dismiss with a reason, pause or renew the watch. Every step is on the audit trail.
